Team 9651 is Upper Canada College's robotics club! At Team 9651, we compete in VEX competitions, do community service under Horizons Robotics, and hold workshops and drop-in sessions to teach students about just how awesome robots are! Our primary goal at the club is education: there are thousands of different things that students can learn about robotics, programming, or technology, and we aim to provide a way for students to explore those areas.
Teacher Kevin Olds supervises the UCC Computer Club, a student-led initative to explore computers and the power that they give students.
The club starts off as just a drop-in session for students at UCC to explore robotics.
UCC Robotics joins the VEX Competition, receiving the number 9651. Students ramp up their work to meet the complexity of the competition.
Only one year after joining VEX, Team 9651 wins their first competition versus over 100 teams. The team is very happy, and continues working hard.
Team 9651/UCC Robotics partners with the Horizons program at Upper Canada College, to provide robotics-based education to inner-city students.
